As the price of college credits continue to rapidly climb and unemployment is becoming more frequent amongst recent college graduates, college has become more than simply obtaining a degree. Rather, it is about the different journeys students take to juggle grades, maintain a social life, and keep their focus on the future.

Whether you are an incoming freshman looking to find your niche or a junior who feels something missing from his college experience, I encourage you to GET INVOLVED! Whether it be through the school’s professional development organizations, sports clubs, community service, or Greek Life; getting involved is the #1 way to fee

l connected with the school and make the most of your time here. In the second semester of my freshman year, I decided to join the fraternity Sigma Phi Epsilon and have never looked back. In my time with SigEp, I have become President, been a Vice President, won intramural championships, shaved my head with my brothers for charity while raising thousands of dollars, obtained an internship, attended leadership conferences in Chicago, and countless other memories. However, the countless friendships I have made for life, both in my fraternity and throughout Greek Life are still among my proudest accomplishments.

SigEp is a truly diverse organization and does not solely accommodate to one type of person. With our wide array of alumni being successful in countless fields, it opens the door to opportunities you would miss out on otherwise. We believe it's your personality that defines you and thus open our doors to any open-minded individuals who are looking to enhance themselves as well as their college experience. Sigma Phi Epsilon includes the values of Virtue, Diligence and Brotherly Love. The men you will meet in this chapter can become your best friends and brothers. They will be there cheering you on in the highs of life and supporting you at the lows. Sigma Phi Epsilon has changed my life drastically for the better and I encourage you to see what kind of fit it could be for you.

If you think you may be interested in rushing or just would like to learn a little more about SigEp and Greek Life, please feel free to reach out to me at my email, mcgillir@mail.gvsu.edu or contact our Vice President of Recruitment, Joe Dupie  dupuiej@mail.gvsu.edu, for our upcoming schedule for recruitment events.

Thank you for your time, we hope to hear from you soon,

Fraternally,

Garrett Dickinson
